The third day of this “long weekend” of gigs had us playing at the Lilydale Airshow at Lilydale Airport. While the day was long and hot, we played well to an interested audience, and between sets we were entertained by some amazing aerobatic displays and fly-pasts. We were also allowed out on to the airfield to pose with one of the stars of the show, a 1942 Boeing Stearman. (Photo: Terry Donovan)
Lilydale Airshow also gave us our first opportunity to play in the newly-named "Geoff Olive Tents", in honour of our recently-departed baritone player. (Photo: Jane Laws)
We didn't spend all day looking at the planes - we actually did some playing, and smiling!! (Photo: John Dowling)
In the following week, Pans on Fire got front-page coverage in the local Triangle News for their activities on the previous weekend.
